Donner Noise Killer Pedal | Second Hand
Donner Noise Killer Pedal | Second Hand
The Donner Noise Killer is part of Donner's mini-pedal series, engineered to deliver efficient signal conditioning for guitarists and bassists. Designed to eliminate unwanted background hiss, single-coil hum, and high-gain buzz, this pedal focuses on isolating the core musical signal without degrading or altering the instrument’s native transient response.
The hardware is housed in a compact, ultra-small micro enclosure constructed from a lightweight and highly durable aluminum alloy. The control interface features an analog Threshold potentiometer, a two-position mini-toggle switch for mode selection, a high-visibility status LED, and a heavy-duty mechanical footswitch. Standard 1/4-inch mono audio inputs and outputs are side-mounted to facilitate optimal placement on dense pedalboards, operating via a standard 9V DC center-negative power requirement drawing 26mA of current.
Dynamic Attenuation & Signal Control
-
Dual-Mode Processing: Features a physical toggle switch to alternate between Hard mode for an aggressive, immediate gate cutoff ideal for high-gain rhythm patterns, and Soft mode for a gradual, smooth release tailored to sustained lead lines and ambient passages.
-
Broad Threshold Sweeping: Provides an expansive operational range from -70dB to +10dB, enabling precise calibration to match low-output vintage pickups or volatile, high-gain distortion chains.
-
Smart Noise Detection: Implements fast input tracking coupled with an optimized internal attack and decay curve to ensure background silence engages exactly when you stop playing, without truncating natural note decay.
Hardware & Pedalboard Integration
-
True Bypass Architecture: Utilizes a hardwire mechanical bypass design that routes the instrument signal directly from the input jack to the output jack when disengaged, ensuring zero tone coloration or high-frequency loss.
-
Space-Saving Form Factor: The miniature footprint maximizes available layout space on dense touring rigs while reducing overall travel weight.
